At Savage
Memorial, we
care about supporting one
another as
we grow in our faith, building relationships and maintaining a strong
connection to our community. There are a
number of activities happening here and we want you to know that there
is a
place here for YOU!
CHANCEL
CHOIR
Our
Chancel Choir is
open to all, adults and youth, under the direction of Chris
O'Neill. You are welcome to join us for
rehearsal on Thursdays at 6:45pm, or please call the church office for
information. Chancel Choir
sings in church every Sunday, September through June.
BELL
CHOIR
There
is an
enthusiastic group of folks who meet at 8:15pm on Thursdays to
rehearse with our four octaves of handbells. Cindy Gronbach is
the
Bell Director and is always thrilled to welcome new ringers! No
experience necessary.
VOYAGERS
We have a Voyager organization here at Savage Memorial, consisting of
six "ships", or groups. The primary emphasis of these ships is
fellowship and service. The ships welcome anyone wishing to
participate. They are a wonderful source of friendship, service,
and support. If you are interested in being a part of one of
these groups, please call the church office.
SENIOR
TRIPPERS
The Senior
Trippers are a
group of "seasoned" adults who enjoy each
other's company and a trip each month. They've traveled to Cannon
Beach and Mt. St. Helens and taken the Sternwheeler down the Columbia
River! Often it's out to lunch and a trip to a museum or
garden. It's a great time for fellowship and for getting out and
about. Please call the church office for more details. (schedule)
YOUTH
GROUP
The Savage
Memorial Youth Group is a small group of teens ranging from middle
school to high school. We gather on Sundays for Sunday school and
planned activities. We participate in fund raising events like a
potato feed, selling home made cookies to raise money for the 30 hour
famine and helping with the yearly rummage sale. Being a small
group
we are able to spend a lot of one-on-one time sharing with the
group. We plan outings once a month that include a youth games
day, a snow day snowmobiling at Mt. Hood, helping at the Grotto During
December and a visit to the pumpkin patch.
